Fun fact we learned while riding on a tram : the population is over 4 million people
there is 100 cultures and 170 languages spoken.
We went downtown to see the Old Gaol (jail) and almost all the cells are open.There were two cells with mannequins in them and made them look like it was real from that time. There was a place where they used to hang the in mates that were sentenced to death.
One of the inmates that was hanged had the same last name as a number of my relatives from my family tree we think he is part of our family.
After we went to the prison we went to the state library and café. Across the street there was a really cool university with a mural that is like some slime stuff sticking out the sides.
After lunch in the café we went to the watch house across from the mens work out yard in the prison. There was a reanactment of being taken into a short term holding facility for the people who have been arrested. You went through the watch house as a person who was arrested and looked at all the different cells like the padded cells the wet cells and the regular cells. And the gaurd put all the men into a cella and all the women in another.
My characters name was Damien Opal and i got arrested for possesion of a fire arm. We had our mugshots taken and a picture behind bars.
